UK – Amazon to reward front-line employees with global recognition bonus
Amazon is to pay a special holiday recognition bonus to its front-line employees globally, in order to demonstrate its appreciation for their work. All front-line staff who are employed by the organisation between 1-31 December 2020 will be eligible for the bonus, which, in the UK, will total £300 for full-time and £150 for part-time employees. In total, Amazon will invest more than $500 million in the special recognition bonus.
Australia – SurfStitch, the Australian based coastal lifestyle platform, has launched their own brand-new app

US – Glue raises $8 million to automate customer loyalty programs
Loyalty automation platform Glue today raked in $8 million in series A funding from private investors led by Unicorn Technologies. The startup says that the proceeds will be put toward nudging local businesses to adopt loyalty programs.
UK – WeGift, the ‘incentive marketing’ platform, collects $8M in new funding
WeGift, the London-based startup that has built an “incentive marketing” platform that lets businesses easily issue e-gift cards and other digital rewards to customers, has raised $8 million in new funding.
Dubbed a Series A extension, the round is led by AlbionVC . Existing investors, including Stride.vc, SAP.iO fund and Unilever Ventures, also followed on. Following the fundraise, Ed Lascelles, general partner at AlbionVC, is joining the WeGift board.
